-to consideration.
3. The profit from the 1st. January to the outbreak of wor
can only be provisionally estimated of course and from it must be deducted the various expenses of the partner stationed at a place. There there is no reliable way of estimating the profit, it is re- -commended that only the interest on the capital from the lat.January,
1914, onwards be stated.
4. As already detailed above, German creditors e.g. banks,
who have advanced money on goods exported for the present are entirely uncovered. There is however the possibility in case the liquidation leads to grent losses through ignorance or through malevolent intention that also English and neutral creditors cannot be paid in full. In such a case the partners of the firm are responsible for the debt, and hence this remaining debt is a part of the losses caused by the seizure of the enemy Government and as such should be stated. Nert it is recommended that unless this heading only the amount of the demands of German creditors be shown, of whom it is certain none will
be paid during the war.
5. The Geman firms are in possession of more or less lurte cousi¿ments from German and Austro-Hungarian .ufacturers, the proceeds of which, in the usual cource of events, would be sent to these manufacturers after the sale, and delivery of the gouds. Such remittances may not be made however at the present time according to the instructions of the English Goverment, so that these sums kept back by the Balish Government must also be included in the state- -ment, and it can be decided later whether these claims are to be made by the manufacturers or by tae firms themselves.
6. In addition to these losses, other kinds of coupenca- -tion have to be considered viz. on account of the bad treatment and injuries to health etc sustained by members of Germann firms ond their dependents. From the total amount of the maximum of the compensation so established, certain sus will have to be deducted after the con-
